Precision bag filters use replaceable filter bags as the filtration medium to intercept fine particles, scaling products, and process impurities in liquids at low differential pressure. They are commonly used for precision filtration of process liquids and pre-protection of membrane systems.
Process Principle
- Liquid flows from the inside of the filter bag to the outside (or in reverse), and particles are retained inside the bag by the filter bag material.
- Filter bag clogging is determined by the pressure differential between inlet and outlet; replace the filter bag when the set differential pressure is reached.
- The filter bag material and filtration rating can be selected according to material characteristics and particle size.
Product Features
- Large filtration area per unit and high dirt-holding capacity; at the same treatment capacity, replacement frequency is lower than that of cartridge filters.
- Filter bags can be replaced quickly without complex tools, resulting in short downtime.
- The housing can be made of stainless steel or plastic-lined carbon steel, suitable for corrosive and high-temperature conditions.
- The reliable sealing structure effectively avoids bypass leakage and ensures filtration rating.
Application Industries
- Precision filtration of coatings, resins, inks, and fine chemical liquids.
- Removal of impurities from plating solutions, acid and alkali solutions, and process circulating liquids.
- Pre-treatment protection ahead of reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration systems.
- Clarification and impurity removal for feed liquids in the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
