MVR

MVR The evaporator returns the secondary vapor generated during evaporation to the heating side for reuse after it is pressurized and heated by a compressor, replacing most live steam consumption with electrical energy. It is mainstream energy-saving equipment for concentration and volume reduction in ZLD systems.

Process Principle

  • The secondary vapor generated by evaporation enters the compressor, where it is compressed and its pressure and temperature increase.
  • The heated vapor returns to the heater as a heat source, forming a closed-loop cycle.
  • Only a small amount of live steam is needed to start up and balance heat losses, and operating energy consumption is mainly electricity.

Product Features

  • With secondary vapor recycling, energy consumption per unit evaporation is significantly lower than that of multi-effect evaporation.
  • Electricity is the main energy source, eliminating the need for large-scale boilers and steam pipe networks.
  • Evaporation temperature is controllable and operation is mild, helping inhibit scaling and decomposition of heat-sensitive materials.
  • It offers a high degree of automation and can operate continuously and stably, meeting large-scale concentration requirements.

Application Industries

  • Concentration and volume reduction of high-salinity wastewater and pre-treatment before ZLD crystallization.
  • Concentration and crystallization of feed liquids in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
  • Deep concentration of difficult-to-treat wastewater such as landfill leachate and desulfurization wastewater.
  • Evaporative crystallization for salt lake brine, hydrometallurgy, and new energy materials.
